What is the future of the role of a teacher? As a dual-professional seems to put in a boundary, when the reality is that teachers have a wide range of skills which they utilise every day in live classes and also online. Do we need to understand and support teachers to adopt a multi-faceted appreciation of their skillset?

Interesting thoughts about whether all teachers should have a similar skills set or if it would be better to focus on the strengths that the teacher has. Could someone specialize in taking care of groups and someone else take care of the classroom teaching? It is an interesting thought worth looking into, but not applicable to all organisations.
This made me think that the Finnish vocational education system leads us to focus on what competencies our students LACK instead of on what strengths and competencies they have. We try to find weaknesses and focus on making them stronger. What would happen if we started from what competencies and strenghts teachers have and helped them grow and use those strenghts?

Are teachers ready for the change? It seems that all the organisations here today have a similar story to tell - some are and some are not. So do we focus on those that are ready? Can our early adopters be our most powerful resource in encouraging resistant team members to adopt change? By sharing their real experiences and the benefits, can they help to bring others on board?

Interesting discussion taking place at our table. Should CPD be top-down or bottom up? Holistic or specific? A variety of opinions being expressed!

I found the peer mentoring process interesting. Especially the part where the mentor teaches the mentee's class, using digital techonologies. I felt that it could be a nice way to get past the the "this is all very nice, but.." stage. Sometimes teachers don't want to apply new technologies, because they would have to find their own ways to apply them to their own work and to the students they teach. If the mentor is able to show them an example of how to apply the technologies to the teacher's own situation/students, there would be no space for the "yes, but..".
However, we also discussed that it is important to be able to demonstrate why and how digital techonologies would…
